How to promote a music release with creators in India

By the Rupees.com team. Updated 1 November 2026.

To promote a song with creators in India, clear the audio, give creators the hook and a short window around release day, and let them make their own edits to it. Use creators your listeners already follow, across categories rather than music alone, and watch which edit and which line people repeat.

Start with the hook

Creators will use the part of a song that works in a short post. Decide on the 15 to 30 seconds you want heard, and send that as clean audio along with the full track.

Set a short, clear window

Ask for posts from release day through the first week, and hold back a second group of creators for a later push if the song picks up.

Go beyond music creators

A song spreads when it shows up in comedy, film, dance and regional feeds, not only on music accounts. Choose by who follows the creator: language, city and category.

Allow different edits

Ten creators posting the same cut looks like an ad. Set the rules in the brief (the audio, the credit, what may not be changed) and leave the edit to the creator.

Clear the rights first

Confirm the audio is cleared for this use before the brief goes out. Tell creators which version to use, because a post with the wrong audio may have to come down.

Check and measure

Check every live link: that it is the right post, posted in the agreed window, and carrying the disclosure the brief asks for. Rupees.com checks each link before it counts. See the disclosure rules in India.

Track views by post and read the comments for the lines people quote back. Compare post timing with your own streaming numbers to see which window moved listeners.

How Rupees.com fits

One brief to approved creators, with every post and view live on one dashboard and every creator paid on the settlement date. Send a brief.

Common questions

Which part of a song should creators use?

Give them the hook, as clean audio, along with the full track. Fifteen to thirty seconds is a practical length for a short post.

Should only music creators promote a song?

No. Comedy, film, dance and regional creators can reach listeners a music account does not. Choose by the audience, not the category label.
